Pledge to protect the BBC: have your candidates signed up?

We’ve sent over 11,000 emails to over 1,400 candidates, asking them to sign our pledge to protect the BBC. The pledge reads:
If elected as a Member of Parliament, I pledge to:
- Oppose the proposed closure of BBC 6Music, BBC Asian Network, the cuts to the BBC website, including the proposed redundancies and the disposal of the BBC’s magazine titles.
- Work to ensure that the future of public sector broadcasting, is properly resourced, maintaining and strengthening investment in quality programmes.
The full list of sign-ups so far shows that we’ve already gathered significant support from all parties with one notable exception. It’s great that Gordon McCaskill, Conservative Candidate for Paisley and Renfrewshire South, has signed up but where are his Conservative colleagues? Mr McCaskill seems unlikely to be elected (the Conservatives came 4th in this constituency in 2005 with 8.4% of vote) which means not a single likely Conservative MP has signed up so far.
