Media bosses tell Vince to stop Murdoch

Our campaign to block Rupert Mudoch’s plans to buyout the rest of BSkyB has just received some powerful backing: heads of the BBC, Channel 4, the Telegraph, Guardian, Mirror and Daily Mail have all signed a letter to Vince Cable, telling him to block Rupert Murdoch’s power grab at BSkyB.

38 Degrees members have been leading the way with this campaign. Last week we handed in an open letter with nearly 19,000 member signatures. More and more people are joining in but we need to keep increasing the pressure.

We need Vince to know that when he makes the right choice he has our support. You can email your MP in 2 minutes to get them on board and tell Vince that we don’t want the Murdoch empire to grow in strength.

Over 30,000 of us have signed the petition so far and we’ve been raising funds for adverts when Murdoch tries to get permission to go ahead with his buyout plans.
