Save our NHS: our legal team respond to the Department of Health
By JohnnyChatterton
Over the past couple of week a number of people, including the Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley, the Department of Health and certain other MPs have either disagreed with or selectively quoted from the independent legal advice funded by 38 Degrees members. In addition, criticism has been made by some MPs of the way in which 38 Degrees has represented their legal advice.
We have therefore obtained further legal advice from both Stephen Cragg and Rebecca Haynes. This further advice confirms their original advice is accurate, ensures that it is put in its true context and deals with any criticisms made. All the original documents, including the original legal advice and summaries are available here.
