Say no to cut-price justice! Petition hand-in

Last Thursday, the ministry of justice held the last of many events across the country discussing their plans to restrict access to legal aid, and take away your right to choose the lawyer best suited to you.
38 Degrees members have been attending these events nationwide, and reported back to say that the plans were widely criticised by those that went. Over 40 000 people so far have signed the petition, and Thursdays event seemed the perfect place to hand it in!
38 Degrees members attending the event met up beforehand, and went in together ready to hand the petition in. They reported back to say that: “the petition was successfully handed in to the ministry of justice and it got a huge round of applause.”
Chris Grayling and the ministry of justice know how unpopular these plans are; now we really have to drive the message home! The government’s consultation closes in just a few days, can you email in and tell them to scrap their plans to limit our access to justice?
