Save our NHS: Hornsey and Wood Green
By Cara Bevington
38 Degrees members from the Hornsey and Wood Green constituency in north London came out in force to support the ‘Save our NHS’ day of action on Saturday 28 February.
More than 50 members gathered in Wood Green, Crouch End and on Stroud Green Road with a clear message ‘don’t mess with our NHS.’
Despite the grey skies and drizzle members had a really positive day, talking to locals about why the NHS is precious to them and why they want to see all candidates standing in this year’s general election commit to take action to save our NHS.
2,000 people in the area had already signed the petition online and across the 3 events 38 Degrees members more than doubled this by collecting 2,100 more petition signatures on the day. An incredible effort that demonstrates what can be achieved when we work together. Help grow this even further by adding your name to the petition, and inviting your friends and family to do the same.
