People power at work: petition hand-in in Lancaster & Fleetwood

After hitting the streets weekend after weekend, braving the cold and drizzle from February to April, 38 Degrees members in Lancaster and Fleetwood handed in their local ‘Save Our NHS’ petition to their MP candidates.
1,844 signatures were added, with more still coming in online.
Members were joined in Lancaster Library by Eric Ollerenshaw (Conservative), Cat Smith (Labour), Matthew Atkins (UKIP), and Robin Long (Liberal Democrat).
Congratulations to Mick, Mavis, David, Paul and all in the Lancaster & Morecambe local group for pulling this together, on top of their amazing efforts over the last few months. We need more members like our folks up north.
