Mental Health, Coffee and Campaigns
By Freya Campbell
Thank you to everyone who filled in the mental health survey – over 10,000 people have contributed and that’s a powerful statement to the Scottish government. This post is not about politics but more about people coming together to talk.
Would you like to meet up with other 38 Degrees members and talk about mental health in Scotland over a cup of tea? On Thursday a small group of 38 Degrees members are meeting Maureen Watt, Minister for Public Health, to hand in the results of a 38 Degrees member consultation on mental health.
They want to meet up with other 38 Degrees members afterwards to talk about how the hand in went, and what’s next for the mental health campaign – and other issues in Scotland.
Here are the details:
Time: 11.45am
Date: 15th of September
Meeting Place: Southern Cross Cafe, 63A Cockburn St, Old Town, Edinburgh EH1 1BS
It’s rare that we get a chance to come together and talk about the issues that matter to us most – and what we can do to make a difference. People across Scotland have shown that mental health is so important to them, this’ll be a chance to celebrate meeting the minister and just have a spot of tea and cake, and chat about what’s next.
