The NHS Documentary – Everyone should see this
By Emily Pulham
Jeremy Hunt doesn’t want you to watch this video. It proves the NHS is hanging on a thread.
This ten minute documentary tells the story of three people’s experiences with the NHS – and the devastating consequences that cuts can have on all of us. With more big cuts to the NHS around the corner, it’s critical that we watch and share this video so that everyone knows how these cuts are affecting real people.
Getting everyone you know to watch this documentary won’t save the NHS on its own, but it gets us a step closer. Everyone who watches it is another person seeing the human impact of the NHS funding crisis. That means one more concerned voter, one more supporter of the campaign to save the NHS – and more pressure on politicians to give the NHS the funding it needs.
800,000 people have already seen the video and small actions add up – so if each of us shares the video with our friends and family, we could get millions of people across the UK watching it.
The NHS has been there for all of us at some point in our lives. It brings our children into the world, treats us when we’re sick, and cares for us in our final days.
But our health service doesn’t have enough funding, and that means services we rely on could close. We’ve heard of it happening and seen it in the news, but what’s often missing are the voices of people like us – of patients. This is our chance to put that right.
