Chip in to the NHS Emergency Fund
By Nicole G
Our worst nightmare for our NHS is happening. A GP surgery in Dorset is charging £145 for private appointments because their finances are close to collapse.
No one should have to wait longer when they’re ill because they don’t have enough money. It’s the opposite of what the NHS stands for. But unless we do something now – something big – this could start happening across the country. Our NHS could be broken within years.
This is the day the real fight begins to save the NHS. It won’t be easy and it won’t be cheap. We need to build an emergency fund of £100,000 to fuel the biggest campaign we’ve ever run to save the NHS. Please will you do your bit and chip in right now?
Most posts by the 38 Degrees staff team are longer and more detailed. But right now, we’ve got no time to lose. If we’re going to take on the challenge to protect our NHS, we need to get going.
