Voter ID Posters FAQs
By Kate Murray
Posters will be processed and sent out in batches as soon as possible. This may take a few weeks, or it may take longer depending on the number of orders. Please be patient, but if you haven’t received your poster after a few weeks, please contact us at voteridposters@38degrees.org.uk to find out the status of your order.
You can order your poster here. We’re limiting orders to one poster per household so as many people can take part as possible. If you’d like to order more posters, please get in touch at voteridposters@38degrees.org.uk and we’ll see what we can do.
Yes, the posters are free because we want as many people as possible to be able to take part and get the word out about the Government’s voter ID plans! However, if you’re able to do so, it would be great if you could chip in to help pay for posters for people who can’t afford to. Each poster costs us around £1 to buy and post, you can make a secure donation here.
In a matter of weeks on May 4th, many of us in England will be heading to the polls to have our say in the local elections. But because of the Government’s recent changes to election rules – insisting on photo voter ID – TWO MILLION of us could be turned away from voting in UK elections. And worst of all, most don’t even know it!
We can’t stop the Government’s plans from going ahead, but together we CAN help prevent millions of us from being locked out of our democracy.
Imagine if every one of us reading this popped a poster in our window letting our local community know about the change – and standing up for our democracy at the same time. Together, we could ensure more people know what they need to bring to cast their vote and make it count.
If your poster hasn’t arrived after a couple of weeks, please send an email to the 38 Degrees team at voteridposters@38degrees.org.uk
We’d love to see your posters on display! Please share photos with us: voteridposters@38degrees.org.uk (and if you do this, we might share your photo on social media, unless you ask us not to) or Tweet @38degrees using the hashtag #DontGetLockedOut
Posters can only be delivered to UK addresses.
