Sewage Stickers FAQ
By Simma Rai
Decades of underinvestment in our sewers has meant our rivers and seas are now paying the price – with water companies dumping sewage in our waters thousands of times a day. Many companies are to blame for these sad circumstances and rather than them owning up to their mistakes, the public are getting wishy-washy policies and statements.
The 38 Degrees community has been campaigning on sewage pollution for a few years now – from 18,000 of us taking part in an initial consultation in 2022 to recently meeting the CEO of Southern Water – we have been going strong. Together, we’re making waves and getting noticed.
Now, we want to produce thousands of free, sustainably-sourced stickers for you, your friends and your family, to show that we won’t tolerate our rivers and seas being polluted with raw, untreated sewage. Imagine thousands of these plastered on water bottles, laptops and front windows across the country. We’ll be impossible to ignore.
The stickers will be around 10 cm X 10 cm.
For the time being, we ask that you order only 1 sticker to make sure everyone gets a chance to participate. As the campaign moves we may release more and/or provide multipacks.
The stickers will be manufactured in the UK and made using as much sustainable resources as possible.
Unfortunately, we do not offer shipping outside of the UK.
This page will be updated as we get more information about the stickers and campaign.
