NHS Dentistry Poster FAQs
By Michael
Posters will be A3. We’re currently finalising poster design but for illustrative purposes your poster may look something like this:
We’re aiming to have all posters shipped by the end of May 2024.
However, due to upcoming bank holidays and depending on how many households request one, things may move a little slower. We’re a small office team, we don’t have the facilities of giants like Amazon so please be patient with us.
If you haven’t received your poster by mid June, please contact us at dentistryposter@38degrees.org.uk to find out the status of your order.
Yes, the posters are free because we want everyone to be able to take part in showing support for the NHS dentistry! However, if you’re able to do so, it would be great if you could chip in to help pay for posters for people who can’t afford to. Each poster costs us around £1 to buy and post, you can make a secure donation here.
Yes, posters can be recycled domestically.
Overstretched and underfunded, there are now fewer and fewer NHS dentists available. A recent survey found nine out of ten practices are no longer taking on new NHS patients.
The Government’s own figures show that 12 million people are unable to get NHS dental treatment. While nearly half our kids are no longer getting regular NHS check-ups. The Government has just announced a new plan that’s meant to encourage dentists to see new patients. But the money they’ve offered to fund it is less than half what’s already being scraped out of dentists’ budgets, and dentists like me can see straight away that it’s not good enough – it won’t stop dentists leaving the workforce or help the millions who can’t get care.
Dentistry isn’t a nice to have, or an optional extra. The oral health gap between rich and poor is widening. Tooth decay remains the no 1 reason a child will end up in hospital.
It’s a national embarrassment. We need to save NHS dentistry and make it fit for the 21st century.
The NHS is a devolved issue and these posters are only applicable to England.
Unfortunately, posters will only be available in English.
You can use this form to order another poster – here. Please remember posters are available for England only, as the NHS is a devolved issue.
If your poster hasn’t arrived please let us know by sending an email to the 38 Degrees team at dentistryposter@38degrees.org.uk and we’ll do all we can to get a replacement poster sent to you.
We’d love to see your posters on display! Please share photos with us: dentistryposter@38degrees.org.uk (and if you do this, we might share your photo on social media, unless you ask us not to) or Tweet @38degrees, @DailyMirror and the @TheBDA using the hashtag #SaveNHSDentistry?
