TTIP- Poll results

The results of the member poll are in – asking if, together, we should launch a campaign to stop TTIP, otherwise known as the “Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership” deal. A hugely influential and dangerous trade deal being debated by the EU and US in secret, which threatens to put the profits of big business ahead of our welfare, health and environment. Over 150,000 38 Degrees members took the poll – and 98% of those voted overwhelmingly in favour of launching a massive campaign against TTIP.
Those 38 Degrees members who voted yes were then asked how they wanted to campaign on TTIP. The results are as follows:
This is a really ambitious campaign. But, we have a strong history of standing up to big business and government and winning. It gives us a chance to be heard all across Europe.
Trade talks began again this week and there are lots of exciting possibilities for next steps!
