Weekly Member Survey results – 4th June 2016

As members of 38 Degrees, each one of us helps decide the issues we work on together to make change happen. Knowing what all of us care about is vital.

On Monday morning, the office team sat down with the results of this survey to help decide what’s on the table for the week. Here are the results (click on the image for a larger version):

The poll also checked in on support for 38 Degrees’ role in the EU Referendum – to stay neutral, challenge the spin on both sides and make sure that everyone in the UK has enough information to make an informed choice. An overwhelming majority of members still support this strategy.

Since 38 Degrees started over six years ago we’ve grown together into a powerful movement. There are millions of us across the UK. Part of our strength is our ability to work on more than one issue at a time.

Should 38 Degrees…

  • Protect the NHS from privatisation & increase funding
  • Campaign to make sure big corporations – like Google – are paying their fair share of tax, and don’t get away with tax dodging
  • Fight against welfare cuts that affect the poorest and most vulnerable
  • Stop TTIP – the dangerous trade deal which could let corporations sue the government
  • Campaign to protect our bees – vital to life on Earth – from habitat destruction and bee-killing pesticides
  • Campaign to stop junk food companies advertising to children
  • EU referendum: campaign to challenge political & media spin, and provide neutral fact-checking to help voters make up their minds
  • Campaign to stop the privatisation of the Land Registry – a profitable public service
  • Stop the Human Rights Act being scrapped and replaced with a weaker Bill of Rights
  • Campaign to combat serious damage to our health from illegal levels of air pollution
  • Campaign to stop the Government reducing scrutiny on new laws, by giving themselves new powers and removing checks and balances
  • Campaign for more funding for mental health services
  • Campaign for a new law to protect the NHS from TTIP, the trade deal that would allow the private companies to take over the NHS
  • Campaign for better treatment of pregnant women and babies in prisons
  • Campaign to stop the government allowing the best universities to raise their tuition fees
