Building more support to ‘Save our NHS’ in Hornsey and Wood Green
By Cara Bevington
On Saturday 11 April, 38 Degrees members were out and about in Hornsey and Wood Green building more support for the ‘Save our NHS’ petition. To ensure they reached out to as many local people as possible members spread out across 3 locations – Wood Green, Crouch End and Muswell Hill.
Jean (pictured below) headed up the group in Wood Green. Jean is a passionate supporter of the NHS and believes “the outcome of this election will have a significant impact on the future of the NHS.”
Kate (pictured below) was one of the group in Crouch End, it was her first time being on a street stall with 38 Degrees – “my uncle is quite active in 38 Degrees and he inspired me to get more involved. I’ve really enjoyed myself today! It’s been easy to talk to people about protecting the NHS from privatisation and TTIP.”
Lesley coordinated the group of 5 members in Muswell Hill. She said “we’re a small group, but we’re going great guns! We’ve collected hundreds of signatures and had loads of great conversations with locals about why the NHS is so important this election.”
