The “Save our forests” map is now live
By caroline.b
The government is planning a massive sell off of our national forests. They could be auctioned and fenced off, run down, logged or turned into golf courses and holiday villages. The campaign against the sell off is growing fast, over 83,000 of us have signed the petition already. Hundreds of people have downloaded posters and leaflets from the save our forests action centre to sound the alarm with groups springing up across the country to fight the forest sell off.
We’ve put together a quick map of some of the forests at risk. But this isn’t all of them – it’s just a snap shot of the 1000+ areas of woodland under threat by the government’s proposed sell off.
Click on the tree icons to learn more about the areas under threat and sign the save our forest petition here.
